Bill On Sexual Assault-Related Crimes Heads Back To Senate

(Denver, CO) -- A measure to get rid of the statute of limitations for crimes committed during a sexual assault is closer to approval. It's going back to the state Senate after an amended version was given the green light in the House yesterday. The legislation would apply to such offenses as kidnapping or burglary. Supporters say it would allow criminals to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There is no statute of limitations for crimes of sexual assault.
