(Beijing) -- The death toll is nearing 400 following yesterday's magnitude 6.3 earthquake in southwestern China's remote Yunnan province. State-controlled media there reports that rescuers are continuing to dig through the rubble in hopes of finding more survivors. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at a shallow depth of less than one mile. Most of the deaths were concentrated in one area.
