(Colorado Springs, CO) -- Protesters in Colorado Springs are rallying against how the federal government is dealing with immigration issues. A weekend demonstration was held on the I-25 overpass at Bijou Street. It was one of hundreds organized across the nation on Friday and Saturday by the Americans for Legal Immigration group. The protests were in response to the recent surge in migrant children pouring over the border, as well as immigration reform. The Denver Department of Human Services is considering an application for federal money to house some of those kids. Protesters say they aren't against immigration, but they want it done the right way.
