(Undated) -- Arizona Senator John McCain wants to see the U.S. do everything it can to help end the current Israel-Gaza crisis. Overnight, Israel ordered northern Gaza residents to leave their homes as it prepares for more air strikes. McCain told CNN's "State of the Union" U.S. influence in the region has diminished so much it may be unable to broker a truce. He also said he admires Israel for showing restraint despite being attacked. Israeli firepower struck the home of Gaza's police chief Saturday in an attack that left at least 20 dead and dozens wounded.
