Second suspect wanted in Delta murders arrested

The second suspect wanted in connection with the double homicide on Delta Drive last Saturday was located outside of Colorado Thursday and arrested.

Colorado Springs Police say 35-year-old Darneau Pepper was taken into custody without incident in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.   Pepper faces First Degree Murder charges.

The FBI tracked him down after obtaining a federal warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

The day after the murders, Springs Police arrested 32-year-old Hiram Sampson on suspicion of First Degree Murder.   He is being held without bond.

The shootings happened during a party early last Saturday morning, February 9th.

Besides the two males who died, two others suffered non life-threatening injuries.
