Denver soldier dies in U.S. months after being wounded in Iraq

The Department of Defense Sunday announced the death of a Colorado soldier who was wounded in Iraq a few months ago.
The Pentagon said 19-year-old Private First Class Duncan Crookston, of Denver, died January 25th at a hospital in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Crookston suffered the wounds September 4th when an explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat in Baghdad.
Crookston was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, at Fort Riley, Kansas.
