An 84-year-old widow claims California officials are threatening to kick her out of her veterans home if she doesn't stop hosting a Bible study.

Fox News reports Artis Breau and her husband, who died a few years ago, moved to the Veterans' Home of California nine years ago.

During that time, Breau has led Bible studies in a shared space for residents of the home.

But, the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) recently notified Breau that she would face "involuntary discharge," or expulsion, from the home if she doesn't give up her status as a Bible study leader.

An attorney for the home claims the decision to tell Breau to stop the Bible studies or face eviction was for the "health and wellbeing" of the residents.
