Many Indian migrant women have been lining up outside clinics to deliver babies prematurely to beat President Donald Trump’s Feb. 20 deadline that will end birthright citizenship.
Doctors say they’ve seen a sharp rise in Indian women getting c-sections performed while only 7 months pregnant.
The illegal migrants and migrants who are here on one of Biden’s temporary parole programs - which allowed for mass migration into the country – say they planned to come the America to have their babies so they could secure citizenship and benefit from the free healthcare, education systems and get better job opportunities than they would in their own countries.
A federal judge temporarily halted Trump’s birthright citizenship ban in a move that is being quickly appealed by the president.
