This episode of Fun Friday kicked off with Kevin McCullough and Cristyne Nicholas reminiscing about their annual cruise around Manhattan aboard the Atlantis. Kevin, dubbed a “social butterfly” (a first!), mingled with guests while Cristyne sipped a mysterious pink cocktail—later revealed to be the Peach Pisipone, a tribute to Joe Piscopo. The night was filled with laughter, missed RSVPs, and baby watch updates from Emron, whose wife is due any moment.

The tone shifted as the hosts reflected on the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk. Both shared heartfelt reactions, especially Cristyne’s kids, who admired Kirk’s courage to foster dialogue. Kevin emphasized Kirk’s belief that when discourse ends, disaster begins—a message that now resonates louder than ever. The upcoming memorial in Phoenix is expected to draw tens of thousands, including the President.

Next up was a powerful segment with Ronald Leopold, Executive Director of the Anne Frank House. He shared insights on the exhibit now in NYC, featuring over 100 personal artifacts, including Otto Frank’s trunk and Anne’s handwritten film invitation. The exhibit aims to educate and inspire, especially young visitors, with free access for schools and libraries during Banned Books Week.

Then came a delicious twist! Steve Cuozzo of the New York Post dropped the scoop: Central Perk, the iconic coffee shop from Friends, is opening a real-life location in Times Square. With Tom Colicchio overseeing the menu and photo-op couches likely in tow, it’s set to be a tourist magnet. Steve also dished on his latest dining delights—Marro East and Caribbean gem Kaboa.

The episode wrapped with tributes to Robert Redford, festival shoutouts (hello, San Gennaro and Brooklyn Book Fest!), and a dash of sports banter. From sepia-toned nostalgia to sepia-toned cocktails, this Fun Friday was a flavorful blend of memory, meaning, and Manhattan magic.
