Monday is National Dinosaur Day! So for this show James is joined by Jeff Lamontagne, executive director of Dinosaur Ridge and the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge Nonprofit. James and Jeff discuss the history of Dinosaur Ridge and the geologic history of Colorado, before diving into the trails you can explore in the area, and the fossils you can experience. They also discuss how you can help to preserve the treasures located at this National Natural Landmark!

James is joined by Laurel Anne Flahive to discuss the ins and outs of the petitioning process, including how they’re created and approved, signing requirements, myths, and much much more. The program educates voters on the concept of petitions as whole as we approach the midterms!

James is joined by Chaim Goldman, executive director of the Peak News Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) compliant charity, focused on teaching journalism and building media foundations for both adults and young adults in Colorado Springs. The Program focuses on their Citizen Journalism Course, their Homeschool Enrichment Curriculum, their code of ethics, and mission.

James is joined by Chris Johnston, operations director of the Paleo Cultural Research Group (PCRG). PCRG is a member supported, grant funded 501(c)(3) archaeology research and education organization. The program delves into the goals and history of PCRG, upcoming projects, and archaeology across the Front Range.

James is joined by Kelly Jean Leggett, chapter founder of the Colorado Springs branch of Luke5Adventures - a National 501(c)(3) compliant charity that aims to bring handicapped individuals out into nature to experience God’s creation. This often looks like hikes or other adventures using specialized wheelchairs. The program highlights the importance of disability outreach, and the joy seen in families when they’re able to see their loved ones experience God’s glory.

James is joined by Randy Garcia, Deputy Director and Colorado Area Director of Soul Survivor Outdoor (SSO), a National 501(c)(3) compliant charity that does work all over the country, and specifically across the Front Range of Colorado. The program highlights how SSO builds faith and improves mental health within Active Military Communities through outdoor activities and a focus on Christ.

James is joined by Casey Frase, owner, teacher, and marketing manager of the Peak Improv Theater (The Pit) in Colorado Springs. The program highlights the arts by focusing on local Improv Jam Troupe “The Stick Horses.” The group is free to join and helps to build and strengthen community, as well as increasing confidence, and communication/teamwork skills.

James is joined by Ralph Giordano, Festival and Executive Director for the Independent Film Society of Colorado, a 501(c)(3) compliant nonprofit in Colorado Springs. The program highlights the arts by discussing the local film scene, as well as community events and the statewide growth of the film industry in Colorado.

They talk about the upcoming Walk For Life taking place right here in Colorado Springs and how we can all participate in the protection of life.
